Germantown, MD (January 24, 2020) – Tribute at BlackHill brings high-quality senior living to Germantown, Md. It offers assisted living and memory care support for individuals experiencing memory loss, including dementia and Alzheimer’s. Local seniors and their families can now have access to a conveniently located community, at all-inclusive pricing.

The Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce (GGCC) conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony & joined Tribute at BlackHill to celebrate the grand opening on January 23, 2020. Tribute at Black Hill is located at 312 Baltusrol Drive, just off I-270 in Germantown. The senior living property -, a master-planned community – is situated in the heart of Black Hill.

Thrive Senior Living’s mission is “to create environments for older adults to thrive”, their newest property does just that. They offer apartment living with assisted living and memory care services. Every member of the Tribute at Black Hill team is NIDE (National Institute for Dementia Education) certified.

“Thrive prides itself in taking the blueprint for traditional senior living and putting it right where it belongs – the trash can. Instead, we’ve created an environment that feels like home,” said Jodie Edwards-Taylor, President at Tribute at Black Hill. “Our team really loves people…especially older adults. We come to work every day with a focus to help our resident not just live…but live with purpose.”

The GGCC is active in providing business-to-business networking opportunities throughout the year: a collective voice in local, regional, and state legislative affairs, professional development opportunities and other services that enhance the business environment.

This new development will help meet the need of the growing and aging population in the county. Fact: seniors are living longer and healthier lives. The Maryland Department of Planning reports that between 2010 and 2040, the Montgomery County senior population is projected to grow from 119,770 to 254,530, a growth of 113%. This exceeds the overall senior population growth in Maryland, which is expected to grow from 707,640 to 1,418,640 over this timeframe, a growth of 100%. This community offers an innovative & independent living style, coupled with assisted living and memory care, and sprinkled with amenities you would expect to see in a hotel.
