A Certificate of Origin (COO) is an important international trade document attesting that goods in a particular export shipment have been wholly obtained, produced, manufactured or processed in a particular country.
Companies requesting a Certificate of Origin must submit forms in person at the Chamber office. An Affidavit of Origin Indemnification Agreement, signed by a company officer, must be submitted by all businesses who utilize our services.

Details – your Certificate of Origin affidavit must include the following language:
“The Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce (GGCC) states that based solely on the above (Exporter’s) affidavit, the GGCC believes that the goods described above are products of the United States of America. The GGCC assumes no responsibility beyond obtaining the sworn statements in the above affidavit. The GGCC makes no warranty, expressed or implied, concerning the goods, affidavit, or any documents relating thereto, and assumes no responsibility for the truth or accuracy of any statements contained in said affidavit or any of the documents mentioned therein.”
