Gaithersburg /Germantown, MD (December 14, 2022) – The Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce (GGCC) awarded Romy Nuñez, Commercial Insurance Broker at Foresight Insurance, an independent insurance agency in Rockville, MD, as the recipient of the 10th Annual Young Professional of the Year Award (YPG) at the Chamber’s Annual Celebration Dinner & Awards Ceremony.
The Young Professional of the Year Award recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of a highly motivated, emerging leader of the Chamber’s Young Professionals Group.
At Foresight Insurance, Nuñez consults with business owners to help them understand and properly manage property and casualty insurance risk for their businesses. In the last two years, Romy has contributed to Foresight Insurance’s client growth and implemented policies and procedures at the agency to help other agents in his office be more successful.
Before joining Foresight Insurance, Nuñez worked for Insperity as a Business Performance Advisor, where he consulted with businesses to help them navigate the world of human resource outsourcing. He was approached by the principal of Foresight Insurance in 2020 and decided to join the agency with the goal of one day making partner. As a member of the Gaithersburg Germantown Chamber of Commerce, Romy has served on the board of directors, received an exceptional volunteer of the year award, represented the Chamber at several ribbon cuttings networking events, and participated in workshops hosted by other members of the Chamber.
In addition to working for Foresight Insurance and serving on the board of directors and YPG Events Committee at the GGCC, Nuñez helps couples celebrate their wedding day as a DJ on the weekends.
The GGCC’s Young Professionals Group program is a networking group of dedicated young professionals aged 21-40. Through the GGCC, young professionals can engage with other like-minded business professionals to further their careers, strengthen their professional image, or meet new friends. The group’s mission is to make the Gaithersburg-Germantown communities and surrounding areas a wonderful place to live and work by harnessing the strength of our communities to make positive change.
