GGCC To Hold 10th Annual Wine Tasting

Gaithersburg, MD – Tuesday, March 19 – The Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce (GGCC) will hold its 10th Annual Wine Tasting on Thursday, May 23, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Kentlands Mansion, 320 Kent Square Road in Gaithersburg. Last year, over 80 attended and this year the chamber anticipates a larger attendance.
“The Chamber’s Wine Tasting event was a huge success. People really love the Kentlands Mansion; it is a great asset in the City of Gaithersburg. We also had great food, great wine, and great people.  Not only did people have fun, but they also were able to make business connections. That’s what we are all about,” said Marilyn Balcombe, GGCC President with regards to the 2012 wine tasting event.
The event sponsors include The City of Gaithersburg, DrinkMore Water, Pinky and Pepe’s Grape Escape, The Prime Choice Caterers and Spagnvola.
This year’s wine tasting features a guided wine tasting tutorial five featured wines compliments of Pinky & Pepe of Pinky and Pepe’s Grape Escape. Also attendees will receive a special discount coupon to use that week in the Pinky and Pepe’s Grape Escape Kentlands store.
The menu – prepared by GGCC Member The Prime Choice Caterers- includes mini beef wellington, Tuscan chicken skewers with pesto accompanied with caprese skewers, miniature crab cakes w cocktail sauce, grilled shrimp wrapped in bacon and an international cheese board with strawberries dipped in chocolate.
DrinkMore Water will be providing bottle water – of course- and rinse stations. Spagnvola, a premium chocolate retail store in the Kentlands, will have a special display and treats to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth.
