GGCC Holds Business Networking Before Nine at IWLA

The Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce (GGCC) held a “Business Networking Before Nine” at The Izaak Walton League of America (IWLA) on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. IWLA is located at 707 Conservation Lane in Gaithersburg.

It’s always great to see so many people come out to our events. It shows how valuable face-to-face networking still is. Even with all the virtual options we have for communicating, sitting down and having a cup of coffee is still one of the best options for getting to know someone,” said Marilyn Balcombe, GGCC Executive Director.

IWLA is a national non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the soil, air, woods, and water of the United States.

With a network of more than 240 local chapters nationwide, the League takes a common-sense approach toward protecting the Country’s natural heritage and improving outdoor recreation opportunities for all. To learn more about the available chapters visit: www.iwla.org/chapters.

Their mission is to “conserve, restore, and promote the sustainable use and enjoyment of our natural resources, including soil, air, woods, waters, and wildlife”. To learn more about them visit: www.iwla.org.
