GGCC Joins Forces with MoCo DED for “Increase Your Business Strength” Campaign

Posted on:

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett & Montgomery County Department of Economic Development (DED) Director Steve Silverman joined Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber (GGCC) Executive Director Marilyn Balcombe and other local chamber and business support organization executives to officially launch the” Increase Your Business Strength” local marketing campaign.

This campaign stems from the DED’s strategic plan to help increase membership in local business organizations. Membership allows business owners to network with one another, develop leads, learn from various seminars and programs offered, and help shape business- friendly public policy.

To support this effort, DED initiated a local marketing campaign in conjunction with nearly 20 local business membership organizations. The main marketing components include PSA’s on some 50 Ride-On buses throughout the County, postcards for distribution, and a dedicated website hosted by DED – MontgomeryBizStrength.com.

The GGCC is committed to promoting the DED’s initiatives and has developed its own internal marketing campaign stemming from the “Increase Your Business Strength: Join Your Local Chamber of Commerce” idea.

This is a great partnership with the Department of Economic Development. It is in everyone’s best interest to have an engaged business community. Having the DED encourage businesses to join their local Chamber is a great way for the DED to support the local business groups and also help the individual businesses become more involved,” said Marilyn Balcombe, GGCC Executive Director.

The GGCC invites local –small, medium and large- businesses to join the GGCC and “Invest in Your Future: Get Active in the Chamber”. The GGCC can provide the necessary resources for you to better position your company for growth and success.

Membership in the GGCC is a vital investment in your company, your community and yourself. Now your return on investment is greater than ever before thanks to the Chamber’s renewed commitment to specific strategic initiatives and its commitment to increase engagement of all members. The GGCC has played an integral role in defining the Upcounty’s identity. Join us as we create the next level of economic prosperity in our community.

Benefits of joining the GGCC include: networking, visibility, member-to-member discount program, reputation, opportunity, communications and we are your voice with legislative and economic development issues.
