"The GGCC has been a crucial facet of my successful business.  As a new business owner back in 2002, the GGCC welcomed me and made me feel part of a larger whole.  Instead of being a business owner on her own, I was part of an organization of businesses.  I got my first, third, and fourth clients through my membership in the GGCC. More important than getting new clients (which is pretty important), I continue to be part of an organization that has my needs as a business at heart.  I may not partake in the political machine, but the GGCC looks out for me through its legislative agenda and involvement.  While I may not spend as much time volunteering and being part of the community as I'd like, I'm able to donate money and goods through the GGCC's service projects.  I make a difference through volunteering on various committees.  As a member of the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce, I'm part of a community, a community of businesses. "

"My home computer got infected with a virus and several friends tried to help me fix the problem.  They even had me buy an anti-virus program and I thought I was all set.  A few days later the virus was back and I was not able to access the internet.  I thought of calling Dan Videlock from D & M Consulting, since I know him from the Chamber meetings.  I called him in the morning and he was able to come to my house within a couple of hours.  He was able to fix my problem, installed an exterior hard drive to back up my files and was finished within 1 1/2 hours.  His fee was reasonable and the fact that he came to me, was very convenient.  I had to contact him for a few other questions and he immediately got back with me.  I would not hesitate to recommend Dan to my family and friends for any computer related problems."
-Gizelle Petit, Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager, Sandy Spring Bank regarding Daniel Videlock of D&M Consulting

"When I started my business I looked to join and actively participate in organizations that would not only help grow my business but also support my business and my professional goals. I am in involved in several professional organizations but one of the best for meeting this criteria has been the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce. The Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce has allowed me to interact with some of the finest business owners and professionals in the area. The variety of events is designed to allow participation and professional development with all types of schedules so whether mornings, lunchtime or evenings are better you can still find ways to be involved. When people ask me what I like about my chamber I feel confident saying I think it’s one of the best chambers in the state of Maryland." -Colette Releford, President, Strive Business Solutions, LLC

“I love the chamber because they’re always a supportive, happy bunch of business professionals who will be there for you no matter what. If you ever need anything, it is never a bother.”
Tamara Clarke, Catering Manager, Hilton, Gaithersburg

"On March 23, 2010 I attended the Grow your Business Expo sponsored by the Gaithersburg Germantown Chamber of Commerce.  Klinger and Associates, member of the chamber, had a table set up to promote their independent insurance agency.  I met Kevin Walsh and we discussed the services they offer. I completed a form with my contact information.  The week of March 29 Kevin called me to see if he can come to my place of business to discuss my auto and homeowners insurance.  I agreed to a meeting and I brought him my current policies for him to review.  He shopped several insurance agencies and informed me that he could save me $1000 per year on my auto policy for the same coverage with Hartford Insurance.  The homeowners insurance would be slightly higher for the same coverage.  Mr. Walsh made the change easy for me, coming to my place and completing all the forms.  I would recommend him and his company to other Chamber of Commerce members." -Gizelle Petit, Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager, Sandy Spring Bank
